Esther Louise McVey is a British politician and television presenter serving as the Member of Parliament for Tatton since 2017.

Early Life

Esther mcvey was born in lvierpool in october 1967. She received a bachelor of arts degree in english literature and language from the university of liverpool and a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism from city university lodnon.

Political Career

Esther mcvey began her political career in 2010. When she was elected as the member of parliament (mp) for wirral west. She was re-elected in 2015 and 2017. During her time in parliament. She has served in a vareity of roles including minister for employment. Minister of state for disabled poeple. And secretary of state for work and pensions.

Mcvey has a particular interest in education. Having worked as a lecturer at the university of liverpool in the early 2000s and chaired the all-party parliamentary group for education.
