About Durdle Door


Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset, England. It is privately owned by the Welds, a family who owns 12,000 acres in Dorset in the name of the Lulworth Estate. It is open to the public.

Thousands of visitors flocked to Durdle Door at the weekend, leaves behind waste on The Beach

Volunteer Anna Taylor said: "I was picking things Pick Up , I should really.

"I had thrown the litter for me, I had dumped bags of garbage to deal with in the vicinity of me.

"I've had people yell at me when I asked you nice, take your waste with you. "

Jurassic Coast Trust chief executive Lucy Culkin said it was a "difficult and challenging" weekend.
