Russian white supremacists, a group of terrorists, says Trump

Jun 15,2023 7:50 pm

President Trump, pictured with Secretary of state Mike Pompeo , has Not Yet been identified, a white supremacist group as a terrorist organization

US President Donald Trump has labeled a Russian nationalist group as a terrorist organization.

The Announcement is the First Time the U.S. government has proposed that the label of a white supremacist group.

"These measures are unprecedented," said Nathan Sales , assistant secretary of State for counter-terrorism on Monday.

The Russian -imperialist movement is to believed, offered military training to the neo-Nazi fighters and aided electoral interference in the United States .

The Group is also thought to be of neo-Nazi bombings in several places in Sweden in the year 2016 and 2017.

The name was an unusual step, as The President , Trump has been criticized for its failure to learn more about The Threat to White Supremacy .

The terrorist designation gives the U.S. government authority to block the Americans from the provision of material support or engage in financial transactions with such groups.

To such a designation, a group must be a foreign organization and in terrorist activity, the security of threatened U.S. nationals or the National Security of the United States .

The Treasury Department that no American assets can block to a named group of terrorists, and their members can be prevented in the United States .

The label has been most commonly used for the Islamic extremists.

The Russian Imperial movement is an ultra-nationalist paramilitary group, with its headquarters in St. Petersburg, where she is a Training Camp , with alleged connections to white supremacist organizations in The West .

According to the Swedish investigators, The Group on two of the three Swedish men trained in bomb attacks targeting sentenced to a café and reception centres in the year 2016, and the synagogue of The Following year.

The Group is not reported, believed to be state sponsored, but Russian President Vladimir Putin has tolerated its activities, the New York Times. It supports the Kremlin after the 2014 annexation of the Ukrainian Peninsula of Crimea through the recruitment of fighters for The Conflict .

The Group is of the view that supported pro-Russia fighters in the Ukraine Conflict

The United States , the labelling of three of The Group leaders is as individual terrorists, who will face separate sanctions.

"this is the First Time that the United States ever said white referred to as the advocate of the supremacy of a group of terrorists, and this shows how seriously this government, the white supremacist terrorist threat," Mr sale said. "We do things, has done no previous government to counter this threat. "

A change of tone for the White House

proposes The designation of The Russian Imperial movement, as a terrorist organization, The Trump administration is increasingly concerned about the global threat of white supremacist movements.

The United States has a long history in dealing with " home-grown-and-white nationalists and advocates of the supremacy of one group - including the Ku Klux Klan and The Group behind the violent in 2017, "Together with the rights" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Members of a Michigan-based extremist militia orchestrated the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168, as well.

Now, however, the United States is considering similar or even greater dangers promoted or incited from abroad, which is a destabilizing force, not only in the U.S. but among the allies, as well. Right-extremism seems to have inspired the 2019 Christchurch shooting at a mosque in New Zealand , and attacks in Scandinavia.

move The White house, also provides a change of tone, given that Donald Trump said last March he thought the white-nationalist violence was The Action of "a small group of people" and not a rising global threat.

As Is so often the case in these last years, The Test will now be whether The President is reminiscent of the concerns of his government officials - or to contradict them.

in the Past year, under a separate authority, Mr Trump as Iran ' s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a foreign terrorist organization - the First Time the US had declared that a nation's military, a terrorist entity.

The President has been criticized for minimizing The Threat of white nationalist violence in the United States , especially in comparison to other terrorist groups. He was widely condemned for his reaction to the deadly White Supremacy rally in Virginia, and his comments suggesting there were "very fine people" on both sides.

The last summer of the US, in the face of a wave of mass violence and attempted attacks, many of them targeting certain minorities. The government of each Federal penalties for acts of domestic terrorism, however, such as those that exist for the international terrorist.
