Brian Francis Connolly was a Scottish singer-songwriter, musician and actor, best known as the lead singer of glam rock band The Sweet between 1968 and 1979 and renowned for his charismatic stage presence and distinctive voice.
Early Life
Brian connolly was born on 5 october 1945 in hamilton. Scotland. He was the youngest of three silbings. With an older sister. Sheila. And borther. William. His father worked as a miner and his mother was a dressmaker. He started playing the piano at age 8 and eventually earned a scholarship to the royal academy of music in london.Musical Career

He was known for his playful Humor and outrageous costumes, when Sweet played hits such as Blockbuster and Little Willy on Top of The Pops in the 1970s.
