Labour Party manifesto in 2019: 12 of the most important policies explained

Oct 21,2022 10:41 pm

The Labour Party to life for his 2019 election program has launched, with the slogan,, It is time For a Real change. He wants to submit to introduce the guidelines of The Party , should he win the election.

This runs to 105 pages. But what are the promises that grab the attention of The Public , and possibly the voters to win on election day, December 12? are

1. You can increase the health budget from 4. 3%

The Party also wants to cut private provision in the NHS.

The 4. 3% per year will rise, on the upper end of what the health of the think-tanks and analysts have been calling for. Would be lost the work of money to cover revenue from their pledges to scrap a recipe, basic dental, and hospital Parking charges.

A key section of the work dealt with The Plan to cut private provision in the NHS, which currently accounts for about 7% of the health budget in England. This would include all outsourced contracts, for example for physiotherapy, health and health care.

But NHS hospitals are seeing their waiting lists balloon as a sequence of operations to be outsourced to private hospitals, in The Public sector? And these commitments are longer-term aspirations or short-term priorities?

the health care is transferred, so that these guidelines would apply, the benefit would be to England only, but the devolved Nations of the promotion.

2. You hold to negotiate a second referendum on the Brexit

division of labor, creating a new Brexit offer within three months, and you Remain a referendum on The Deal or within a period of six months

The short section with the title "The last word on Brexit" begins on page 89 of this Manifesto. The Other main UK-wide parties with simple slogans, but Labour's policy is more complicated and will not fit on a Manifesto of the lid or the side of a bus.

He promises to renegotiate a new Brexit offer within three months, based on a new UK-EU-customs Union and in the proximity of the EU-single-market-orientation. Also EU citizens live and work in the UK automatically stay The Right . The offer would then be a legally binding referendum within a period of six months, in addition to the option to remain in the EU.

work wants to be both leavers and Remainers, and give people the last word. It would be the referendum to implement the result immediately. But Mr Corbyn did not say how he would vote in him. And still, the attention to distract from his other practical measures.

This Directive applies to the whole of the United Kingdom.

Update: On 22. November Jeremy Corbyn revealed that he will remain neutral, if there is another referendum.

3. Increase the minimum wage of £8. 21 to £10

It would be to more anyone over the age of 25 earn the minimum wage, known as The National wage.

The Conservatives had already announced that the wage would increase to £10. 50 in the next Six Years . The work is now promised more and faster, with all employees over 16 years of age, the first £10 per hour within the next year. It is an attempt to tackle the growing Problem of in-work poverty.

the government doesn't cost a penny as it is the employers, pay the wages, but it is a big leap for them to swallow, in a very short period of time. The work is also to pay a lot of promising additional measures to strengthen the rights of workers, including longer maternity and paternity leave, and guaranteed pay in case of death.

This applies to the whole of the United Kingdom.

4. In the Stop state pension age,

Pension age will remain at 66 while the retirement age for those who are checked in demanding and stressful jobs.

Not long ago, the government number-crunchers proposed workers under 30 may not be a state pension until they turned 70. Working plan for the freezing of The State pension age at 66, for the foreseeable future as a "monstrous promise" to an analyst.

It would cost more billions of pounds than the recent plans by the government to increase the age for men and Women to 68 by 2039. But, it would be clear, popular among the middle age of the voters.

For the existing pensioners, the so-called triple-lock - link annual pension increases to the highest average income, cost of living, or 2. 5% - More Than all The Major parties have promised. There are also Parking spaces for certain groups. The so-called Waspi Women Born in the 1950s and angry with the "surprise" retirement age Changes - promised compensation.

This applies to the whole of the United Kingdom.

5. The introduction of a National care Service

- A "community-based, person-centered" support in England, including free personal care.

Labour's plan for a comprehensive National Care Service that is fat. The question is whether your calculations with a stand-up examination. This is not only about the financial viability of The Plan now, but also the cost due to the aging of the population. The Heart of the Directive is the free personal care for older people in need of help with day-to-day tasks, such as washing, dressing and medication.

This system is already working in Scotland, but in England, the idea was rejected 20 years ago by the then Labour government as too expensive. There are also double The Number of people receiving help promises, so that loosening NHS pressure. Plans to reform the care system have ended up as political footballs in past elections - The Challenge for labour is to be consensus around your ideas.

health and social welfare falls. This applies to England only.

6. You bring us the net-zero goal

the UK is on track for a net-zero-carbon energy system in the 2030s.

The date for the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions to effectively zero much sooner than the government plans. It's not quite the nice wording of "net-zero" by 2030, many of The Party activists wanted (and the Green Party has promised). Instead, in a line, the document speaks of achieving "the majority of our emissions-reduction" by 2030.

In another, it's called putting the UK "on track for a net-zero-carbon energy system in the 2030s". Probably the stretch room creates enough, by 2040 , Five years earlier than the Lib-Dems' - the target year and 10 years earlier than the Tories.

This Directive applies to the whole of the United Kingdom

7. Nationalize key industries

The Party will nationalise-that is, the so-called " big six energy companies, National Grid, the water industry, the Royal Mail , the Railways and the broadband arm of BT.

Labour ' s manifesto is one of The Most radical proposed Revision of the way companies are owned and operated for decades. It would be the largest ownership acquisition by The State , since The National collection after the outbreak of the second World War .

to own Those companies that do not want to work, and to operate, also in front of a big change in the way you are supervised by the government. The current inhabitants of Supervisory boards, which would be very aware of quite different, under a Labour government.

This Directive applies to the whole of the United Kingdom.

8. Scrap Universal Credit,

you can Start a new benefits system to replace controversial benefit.

Labour's plan to scrap Universal credit deals with the immediate concerns about the much criticised benefit. However, The Party did not say what would replace it. Universal credit was originally introduced to cope with the complexity and unfairness of the existing benefits system. But many of the accompanying Changes has been associated with austerity measures such as benefit caps.

Go back to The System that would be replaced with Universal Credit, create their own problems. And his introduction shows how difficult it can be to develop a new system that works. Labour has said it will begin ideas for a new system immediately, but getting that right will probably take years.

This applies in the whole of the UK.

9. The abolition of the private schools " charitable status

There are also plans to scrap to bring tuition fees back and maintenance grants for the poorest students.

The controversial policy of the abolition of private schools, voted by the conference, parked for the moment. But it is a firm commitment to remove the non-profit tax status.

The great promise, as in 2017, the abolition of tuition fees. The universities fear that The Commitment of public money, could come to replace it, Under Pressure , when The Public finances worsen. Scrapping of tuition fees benefit the rich The Most students The Most . Maintenance grants will be restored for the poorest. The combined cost for a year is estimated at £12bn.
