Siegfried Engelmann

Siegfried "Zig" Engelmann was an American educationalist who co-developed the approach to instruction termed "Direct Instruction". Engelmann was Professor Emeritus of Education at the University of Oregon and Director of the National Institute for Direct Instruction.
