The Lady in Question
In Paris, bicycle shop owner Andre Morestan (Brian Aherne) sits on a trial of young Natalie Roguin (Rita Hayworth), accused of murder. Captivated by Natalie's demeanor, Andre is the sole juror holdout and Natalie is acquitted. Andre takes her home, presents her as the daughter of a friend and offersher a job in spite of the suspicions of wife Michele (Irene Rich) and son Pierre (Glenn Ford). Natalie inadvertently causes more problems when she's recognized, and Andre begins to doubt his verdict. …
