Sudie and Simpson

In World War II-era Georgia, Sudie (Sara Gilbert) and Simpson (Louis Gossett Jr. ) make an unusual pair. Sudie is a 12-year-old white girl, and Simpson is an adult black man. Nevertheless, over time, the two develop a friendship that stirs up racial tensions in their small, segregated town, even though it's completely innocent.
