SOKO München is a German police procedural television series. It was first aired on 2 January 1978, and is set in Munich. SOKO is an abbreviation of the German term “Sonderkommission”. The production ends in 2020 after 40 years; it is planned to replace the format with SOKO Hamburg and SOKO Potsdam.
