As the long feud between the Pritchards and the Carsons continues, Will Carson (Gene Autry) is dismayed when a film company plans to make a movie about his grandfather but refuses to cast him in the lead. Actor Bob Merritt (Robert Lowery) is slated to star, with Will in a small role. Jane Pritchard (Jane Withers), the younger sister of Will's old sweetheart, Marjorie (Marjorie Weaver), intervenes by managing to get Merritt out of town.
