Food Network Star Kids

This series continues Food Network's recent trend of making a children's version of some of the network's popular competition series. In this case, 10 young cooks between the ages of 9 and 13 compete for a chance to earn their own web series on Food Network's site and a feature in Food Network Magazine. Actress Tia Mowry and food writer Donal Skehan host the inaugural season while mentoring the contestants through challenges that test their on-air skills and social media savvy in addition to their culinary ability. Special guests join Mowry and Skehan throughout the season to determine which kids advance through the competition. The season kicks off with the youngsters tasked with giving 30-second auditions to the judges before cooking memorable dishes that represent their food personalities, followed by the first three eliminations. …
