Flowing Gold

Fleeing a trumped-up murder charge, Johnny Blake (John Garfield) travels from one oil field to another in search of work, always moving to escape the long arm of the law. When he meets foreman Hap O'Connor (Pat O'Brien), Blake manages to save his life from a disgruntled former employee, thereby compelling O'Connor to hire him. Their arrangement works well -- until a love triangle forms with the beautiful Linda Chalmers (Frances Farmer), and a bar fight alerts the cops to Blake's whereabouts. …
