George County

George County is a county located in the U. S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2010 census, the population was 22,578. Its county seat is Lucedale. The county is named for James Z. George, US Senator from Mississippi. George County is included in the Gulfport-Biloxi-Pascagoula, MS Metropolitan Statistical Area.
