Salve Regina University is a private university in Newport, Rhode Island. Founded in 1934 by the Sisters of Mercy, Salve is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The university enrolls more than 2,600 undergraduate and graduate students from across the U. S. and around the world.
