National Tsing Hua University

National Tsing Hua University is a research university located in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The university was first founded in Beijing. After the Kuomintang retreated to Taiwan in 1949 following defeat by the Communist Party of China in the Chinese Civil War, NTHU was re-established in Hsinchu City in 1956.
